(Red Oak) Montgomery County Engineer Karen Albert reported to the Supervisors this morning that two of the county’s bridges would be part of a Highway Bridge Competitive Program (HBCP) grant application. She explained that the HBCP funds consolidate bridge projects to replace or rehabilitate bridges in eligible states.
The grant encompasses 28 county bridges across 20 different counties in Iowa. Karen mentioned that the county needs letters of support for the grant application and a survey.
The two proposed bridge locations are 250th Street, west of Villisca, and 270th Street, east of M Avenue.
