At 175 pounds, Sophomore Brody Bendorf is 25-9 and was not expected to be at state after sitting on the sidelines at the start of the season because of injuries but he has worked his way back into shape and will face Senior Brock Vayna 28-6 of Crestwood in the first round. His Dad and Head Coach Adam Bendorf says that finishing second at districts actually has motivated him
At 157 pounds, Sophomore Chayton Snethen (34-21) is a transfer from Audubon and has made his way to state — he will face Clayton Seaba (32-12) of Clarion Goldfield Dows who is ranked 9th
At 150 pounds, Brody McKinley drew a hard bracket — the senior is 40-12 and will face Logan Boehm of North Fayette Valley who is 40-6 in the first round — if he wins, he’ll have to face #1 seed Shane Hanford of West Marshall in the second round. Bendorf still believes he has a chance to get on the medal stand
The highest seed for Harlan is Jesse Jens who is an 8th seed and has a first round bye. Jens is a senior and 48-2 on the season and Bendorf says he is poised to have a big week
