(Audubon, IA) — Audubon and Glidden Ralston have not played against each other since 2016 but they will tangle tonight in a first round district game in Class 1A, coverage on KSOM.
The Wheelers have been up and down at the end of the regular season — it has included their best win of the season over Tri Center at the end of January. Since then, they have wins over Riverside and Logan Magnolia and losses against AHSTW and CAM. Wheelers Head Coach Darran Miller says the defense is better than the offense
Glidden Ralston, meanwhile, has lost 4 in a row coming into the playoffs and while Audubon has a balanced scoring attack, the Wildcats revolve around Six Foot Senior Jonathan Bergmeier who is averaging 18.3 points a game
Miller says the first option offensively is push it inside and take advantage of their strength in the paint with Austin Christensen, Carson Wessel, and Brody Weber. Miller also says they have to get out to a strong start
Both teams are 10-11 and the winner will play either AC/GC or Exira EHK in the next round this Thursday. Game time is at 7 pm, coverage on KSOM.
