(Atlantic) The Atlantic boys’ basketball team will host Denison-Schleswig in their regular season finale on Tuesday night. The Trojans are coming off a 51-43 victory over Lenox on Friday. Atlantic Head Coach Dalton Franken expressed his satisfaction with the win, noting how hard the team has worked in practice.
He hopes to carry that momentum into the game against the Monarchs, the second meeting between the two teams. In their first encounter on February 7, the Monarchs narrowly defeated the Trojans 55-49.
In that game, Blaine Grady stood out for the Monarchs, scoring 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-5 from three-point range, and he added ten rebounds. Camdyn Nemitz contributed 11 points with a shooting line of 3-of-11, 2-of-5 from beyond the arc, and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line, along with nine rebounds.
Kinnick Juhl led Atlantic in their first meeting with 14 points, shooting 4-of-13, including four three-pointers, and 2-of-4 from the free-throw line. Shelton Mualia added nine points with an efficient 4-of-6 shooting performance and 1-of-2 from the charity stripe. Gavin McLaren chipped in with eight points for the Trojans.
