(Harlan, IA) — On Tuesday night, Harlan boys basketball broke a three game losing streak with a 59-44 win over Atlantic at the Wells Fargo Arena. The Cyclones are now 7-11 and had lost 6 of their last 7 games before Tuesday. Dallas McDowell had the big night — earlier against Atlantic he had a career high 26 points but scored 27 against the Trojans last night. Head Coach Mitch Osborn says he is a three level scorer
Harlan used two different type of zone defenses to frustrate Atlantic in the 2nd quarter and they extended it in the second half to create turnovers
The Cyclones have committed way too many turnovers this year, averaging around 12 per game. Harlan has some tough games the rest of the regular season, hosting Treynor Thursday, visiting Creston Friday and at Carroll next Thursday
Osborn has announced that this will be his last year as Head Coach for Harlan boys basketball.
