(Oakland, IA) — Riverside Boys Wrestling is on a drive to state and the Bulldogs won’t have to drive far for districts this Saturday — they are hosting District #8 starting at 10am. Other schools competing at Riverside include Bedford, East Union, Essex, Lenox, Mount Ayr, Nodaway Valley, Shenandoah, Southwest Iowa, Southwest Valley and Treynor. Bulldogs Head Coach Casey Conover is not really concerned with the competition, he says every bracket is going to be dangerous
At 126 pounds, Davis Bramman could be a #1 seed with a 39-8 record but recently lost his Grandfather who passed away last week. Conover says he is working through it and looked really good on the mat Saturday
There is plenty of talent in the room for Riverside and Conover says he hopes to take a full bus to the Well next week
The wrestling starts at 10am in Oakland this Saturday, we will have a 1A Wrestling District recap show at 6 pm after Iowa St. basketball this Saturday on KSOM.
