(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved raises for the County Engineer and Medical Examiner during their regular meeting this (Tuesday) morning.
By A 3-2 vote, the supervisors approved a 15-percent salary increase for County Engineer Karen Albert for the fiscal year 2026. Supervisor chairperson Charla Schmid and Bryant Amos recently met with County Engineer Karen Albert.
The increase would come out of the engineer’s budget. Bryant Amos stated Karen had done an excellent job…and motioned to approve the 15-percent increase.
The Supervisors also raised the county medical examiner’s fee from $200 to $250.00 for fiscal year 2026.
In other business, the supervisors approved claims payable for $214,224.67, a Recorder report for $11,056.05, and a Sheriff’s Report for $6,437.90. The Supervisors also approved the Treasurer’s semi-annual report, ending the fund balance at $12-million-497-thousand-901-dollars and 58 cents.
