The Group Mime “World Domination by the Non-Pink Panther,” featuring Elizabeth Rouse, Megan Gerlock, and Ellen Gerlock.
CAM Speech and Debate Coach Manda Thomas says on Saturday, January 25th, CAM proudly participated in five events at the Adair-Casey Guthrie Center for the Large Group District Contest. During this contest, groups performed in front of a judge who assigned a Division Rating. A Division I Rating allows students to progress to the state level, while a Division II Rating recognizes their hard work and dedication but does not advance them.
Out of the five groups that competed on January 25th, two advanced to state: Choral Reading: “Beauty Queens” and Group Mime: “World Domination by the Non-Pink Panther”. Meanwhile, the Short Film “Hidden Struggles,” featuring Daphna Wahlert and Isadora Gonzalez, received a Division II rating, as did the Group Improv performance with Daphna Wahlert and Isadora Gonzalez. Lastly, the Radio production “Quick Time Murders Episode 3” with Echo Crecilious, Hannah Thomas, Raelyn Lund, and Macy Burg also received a Division II rating.
Manda Thomas issues a reminder of their Showcase night on February 22nd at 6 p.m. at CAM High School. All of our performances will be highlighted. “We hope to see you there to support our talented students!”
All State Nominations will be announced this evening.
