(Atlantic) The Atlantic girl’s wrestling team wrapped up its’ inaugural season on its own with three state qualifiers and one state medal winner. This past year’s roster consisted of six wrestlers. Three of the six qualified for the state wrestling meet this past week, Cadence Kinzie (115), Leiah Thomas (155), and Haley Armstrong (235) made the elite field of high school girl’s wrestlers. Armstrong came home with a fifth-place medal.
First-year Head Coach Mike Greving says all three competed to the best of their ability. He also mentions that the future looks bright for the Atlantic girls’ wrestling program.
Coach Greving says the girls representing the Atlantic wrestling team have been great ambassadors to the sport for Atlantic and the community.
Coach Greving thanks the administration, the wrestling family, including other coaches, and the community for their support.
