(Henry County) One person is dead following a single-vehicle accident in Henry County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened early this (Saturday) morning on Highway 78 near mile marker 41. Authorities did not release the deceased person’s name.
According to the report, for unknown reasons, a 2015 Ram Pickup traveling eastbound on Highway 78 drove off the road, came to rest, and caught fire. Authorities pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office/911, Winfield Fire Department, and the Henry County Medical Examiner.
