(Des Moines, IA) Des Moines is among the top ten metros for tech growth in the Midwest. Doug Ressler with Yardi Matrix, a real estate data and research firm, says central Iowa has a lot of positive factors, but the main one may be less population density. He noted a common theme among the top places for tech companies to relocate, which includes land at the local level having the required permits and zoning for commercial and residential buildings. Ressler explained Des Moines employment growth is also on par with tech employment growth, at nine percent.
