Today, Clark got the downside of being a celebrity as a 55 year old Texas man was arrested on Sunday on a charge of felony stalking Clark in Indianapolis.
According to court documents, the man sent threats and sexually explicit messages via social media to Clark. Michael Lewis of Denton, Texas was arrested yesterday at a hotel in Indianapolis and charged with a Level 5 felony — Lewis is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. If convicted, Lewis could face up to six years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
According to multiple media reports, Lewis sent creepy messages such as “Been driving around your house 3x a day,” Lewis messaged to Clark, according to court documents. “But don’t call the law just yet.” “I’m getting tickets. I’m sitting behind the bench,” read another message. Court documents also revealed that other messages were more sexually violent. A total of 15 messages were sent via X since mid December according to the IndyStar.
Ryan Mears, a Marion County Prosecutor, said the Indianapolis police spoke to Lewis last Wednesday about the messages. Mears said that investigators tracked the IP address of his messages and found that he was in an Indianapolis hotel and Lewis told them he was in “an imaginary relationship” with the WNBA star according to media reports.
