(Red Oak) A Des Moines, Iowa, man faces multiple charges following a pursuit reaching speeds of 140 miles per hour in Montgomery County.
Authorities arrested 28-year-old Seth Hankins of Des Moines on charges of OWI-2nd Offense, Driving While Barred, and eluding with speeds of 25 Miles Per hour over the speed limit, 2nd offense.
The Sheriff’s Office reports the incident began at around 8:55 p.m. on Monday when a deputy attempted a traffic stop on Hankins in the 2200 block of Highway 34. Hankins continued west into Red Oak, then back east on Highway 34, reaching 140 miles per hour into Adams County, where he stopped in the 1900 block of Highway 34.
Deputies transported Hankins to the Montgomery County Jail and held him on a $10,000 bond.
