(NAFB) Crop insurance is a valuable tool for farms across the country, However, imprecise data collection and record-keeping can limit what a producer gets from their coverage. Nick Lewitt is a precision ag specialist with Rural Community Insurance Services, and he says that accurate data can allow a farmer to get the most from their coverage each year.
Lewitt says that farmers do not need to perform any additional work to make sure their farms have the coverage they need. Farmers can use the data they have already captured.
He says that over the past decade, the flow of information has streamlined to make it even easier to record key crop insurance data and reduce paperwork.
