(Perry) A national organization is holding a vigil to honor the lives lost in the deadly Perry High School shooting. Five students and three staff members were shot by a 17-year-old student who died by suicide after the January 4th shooting. The One In Five Foundation For Kids will hold a nationwide vigil and a “blackout halt” for all its operations on Saturday, January 4th, starting at 7:35 a.m. The non-profit has also announced a new scholarship to remember one of the victims, Ahmir Jolliff. It’s called “Ahmir’s Hope,” it’ll reward a student who shows promise in academics and demonstrates leadership amongst their peers.
