(Atlantic) The Atlantic Girl’s basketball team enters the 2025 portion of the season with momentum. After a 1-3 start to the season, the Trojans posted victories in four out of their last five games. Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says this group is starting to jell and become a team.
The (5-3) Trojans will be challenged this evening when they host (6-2) Shenandoah. Coach Vargason describes the Fillies as a competitive, well-coached team that was in the game to the end in the two games they lost.
Green, the 6’1 “senior forward, averages 19.63 points and 13.6 rebounds per game. Vargason recalls the game at Shenandoah last season when Green buried the three-point shot at the end of regulation to tie the game and send it into overtime. The Fillies went on to win the game in overtime.
The Fillies average 63 points per game, Atlantic 56. Payton Harter leads the Trojans with 17 points, and Makenna Schroeder has 12.50.
