(Los Angeles) Top-ranked UCLA surged in the second half to secure a commanding 91-54 victory over Nebraska on Sunday.
The Huskers kept the game competitive early, holding a pair of one-point leads in the second quarter before trailing 37-30 at halftime. However, the Bruins took control in the third quarter, outscoring Nebraska 31-13 while limiting them to just four field goals.
Lauren Betts led UCLA with 21 points, while Kiki Rice added 18.
Amiah Hargrove was Nebraska’s top scorer with 12 points, and Callin Hake chipped in nine. Alexis Markowski, the Huskers’ leading scorer and rebounder coming into the game, struggled against UCLA’s defense. She was limited to just three points and two rebounds, shooting 1-of-8 from the field and committing four fouls.
With the win, UCLA improves to 13-0 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play, while Nebraska falls to 10-3 and 1-1 in the conference.
