(Denver, Colorado) The biological parents of a one-month-old boy found abandoned in a road median in Denver on Christmas morning are under arrest.
Sergeant Adam Sherman with the Adams County Sheriff’s Offices says deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call around 9:20 a.m. “There was approximately a one-month-old infant boy in a car seat left in the median on Pecos Street,” said Sherman.
Someone discovered the baby in a car seat in a median near 7490 Pecos Street, a busy Denver Road. The parents have been identified as 42-year-old Jarvis Sims and 33-year-old Christina Thurman. The sheriff’s office is seeking to charge them with felony child abuse in the case. The infant was taken to be observed at a children’s hospital as a precaution after being out in the cold, but Sergeant Sherman says the baby boy seemed to be okay.
