(Des Moines) Iowa is among the states saying they are ready to assist incoming President Trump in the mass deportation of illegal immigrants who pose a threat to the community. In a statement posted on the Republican Governors’ Association website this week, the governors say they will use the states’ National Guard and law enforcement to support Trump’s efforts to deport dangerous criminals, gang members, and terrorists who are in the country illegally. While Governor Kim Reynolds’ name was on the letter, she has not personally commented on how the state’s National Guard would be used.
