(Washington, DC) A potential government shutdown is expected to have little impact on Holiday travel plans. Even with a shutdown, the Department of Transportation says thousands of necessary FAA employees will remain in the job. That includes about 13-thousand air traffic controllers, and about 59-thousand TSA workers deemed essential. During the last shutdown, some airports reported longer security lines, so get there early if Congress doesn’t pass a spending bill.
