(Lewis) The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is inviting individuals aged 18 and older to join its team for the upcoming summer season. According to John Lorenzen, a Fisheries Biologist with the Iowa DNR, the department is looking for candidates who enjoy the outdoors, particularly those with an interest in fish, to fill positions available at fisheries offices across the state.
The positions are offered for three- or six-month durations. Three-month roles typically run from mid-May to mid-August, making them a great fit for students. Six-month roles, designed for those who have finished school but are not yet in full-time employment, generally start in early April and continue through mid-October.
While the DNR prefers applicants pursuing careers in fisheries, it welcomes anyone with an interest in the field to apply. Applications are available on the DNR website and must be submitted by January 10. For more details, contact Ben Wallace, Fisheries Biologist, at Lake View by calling 712-657-2638.
