(Audubon, IA) — The Audubon Boys basketball had last night off and have just one game left before the winter break — the Wheelers face an undefeated Tri Center team on Thursday night. So far its been a tough schedule for the 2-2 Wheelers — losses to Coon Rapids Bayard and Treynor — a win over Underwood, a state tournament a year ago, and Missouri Valley. Head Coach Darran Miller believes these games will make Audubon good in the long run this season
The Wheelers have a balanced scoring attack — five players average between 6 and 9 points a game. Nobody is in double figures, Junior Brody Schultes leads at 9.2, next is Junior Brody Weber at 8.8 and Miller says each Brody brings their points in different ways
Senior Mason Steckler is shooting 39 percent from three point land, Senior Aaron Olsen comes in a 7 points a game and Junior Carson Wessel averages 6 a game. Miller would like his team to be more consistent on the defensive end
Audubon visits Tri Center tomorrow night and then is off until January 3 when they host Riverside, coverage of that game on KSOM in the new year.
