(Guthrie Center, IA) — The number one concern that supervisors deal with is the condition of roads and the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved a project that costs a half million dollars. The Supervisors allocated $510,000 for a patching project for F 25, 160th Road which is north of Guthrie Center around Yale. Supervisor Maggie Armstrong was worried about cost overruns but County Engineer Josh Sebern says it would be handled through farm to market funding
Supervisor Brian Johnson wanted an update on the Wagon Road project between Stuart and Panora which the County hopes to do in the future but Sebern says he is not optimistic about the project, it is currently mired in government red tape
Seburn says they hope to do something about Wagon Road in two years but it all depends on funding. Meanwhile the Supervisors voted unanimously for the 160th Road project.
