(Lewis) One person suffered minor injuries in a rollover accident in southern Cass County this morning.
Cass County Chief Deputy Sheriff John Westering says the accident happened around 7:24 a.m. on 580th and Lewis Road. Westering says Lewis Rescue transported one person complaining of back pain to Cass Health.
Westering says road conditions were normal until a half-hour window when temperatures and humidity caused icing on the roadways. He says a 2015 Kia Sedona mini-van traveling south on Lewis Road approached 580th Street. Due to the slick road conditions, the driver lost control, entered the east ditch, and rolled several times.
Three of the vehicle’s four occupants walked away from the crash. Lewis Rescue took a fourth occupant to CCMH.
