#3 Iowa St. 83, Omaha 51
(Ames, IA) — After the Cyclones emotional win over Iowa, there was no letdown in a 32 point thumping of the Mavericks. ISU started a little sluggish but Omaha committed 8 turnovers down the stretch in the first half sparking a 20-2 Cyclones run. Keshon Gilbert led Iowa St. with 16 points. Joshua Jefferson and Milan Momcilovic each had 13 — Jefferson had 8 rebounds. Tamin Lipsey put in 11 and Nate Heise came off the bench with 10. The Cyclones are now 9-1 and will host Morgan St. on Sunday, Dec. 22 at Noon, coverage on KSOM. Omaha falls to 4-9
Iowa 104, New Orleans 57
(Iowa City, IA) — The Hawkeyes took out their frustrations after Friday’s close loss to Iowa St. on the Privateers. Brock Harding opened the game with a three and New Orleans answered with back-to-back lay-ups to lead 4-3. That was their only lead of the game — Iowa went on a 10-0 run and cruised from there. Owen Freeman had a career high 22 points, Payton Sandfordt put in 15 and was 3-4 on his threes, Josh Dix and Harding each had 13 (Harding was 3-3 on his threes) and Pryce Sandfort added 10. The Hawkeyes shot 62.7 percent from the field (42-67) and was 14-29 from three point land. Iowa improves to 8-3 and will play Utah in Sioux Falls this Saturday, tip off at 5 pm on the BTN. New Orleans falls to 4-9.

#17 Michigan St. 68, #21 Iowa 66.
(East Lansing, MI) — The Spartans rallied from a 58-49 deficit in the 4th quarter to beat the Hawkeyes in both team’s Big Ten opener. Michigan St. went on a 14-0 run in the middle of the quarter — Iowa missed seven straight shots in the stretch. MSU built a 67-60 lead with three minutes to play — it was a lead the Hawks could not overcome. Sydney Affolter hit 2 free throws with 19 seconds left to cut the lead to 67-66. Theryn Hallock missed the front end of a one and one but Affolter had a lay-up blocked by Julia Ayrault — the rebound went to Lucy Olsen but she missed a shot with 3 seconds left. Hannah Stuelke led Iowa with 18 points and 8 rebounds, Olsen had 13, and Kylie Feurerbach added 12. Ayrault led the Spartans with 19 and they improve to 10-0, 1-0 while Iowa drops to 9-2, 0-1. Iowa hosts UNI Friday night.
#24 Nebraska 66, Chattanooga 42
(Lincoln, NE) — Alexis Markowski poured in 22 points, made 7 of her 9 shots with a three pointer, grabbed 8 rebounds in only 20 minutes and single handedly beat the Mocs. During the game, Markowski became the first Husker player to reach 1,500 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. Callin Hake added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists as Nebraska goes to 10-1 and a perfect 9-0 at home — the Huskers face #25 Georgia Tech this Saturday at 4:30. The Mocs fall to 4-8.
#18 Iowa St. 87, Eastern Illinois 55
(Ames, IA) — Audi Crooks was 12 of 16 from the field and led the way with 30 points. Addy Brown had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Emily Ryan had 5 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block. It was the 11th consecutive home win for the Cyclones, who improved to 9-3 on the season. Next up, the Cyclones will host #2 UConn on Tuesday night. The Panthers fall to 3-6. The Cyclones also announced that Junior Guard Kenzie Hare will medically redshirting this season due to a hip injury — she had started 8 games this year.
