Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason emphasizes the importance of guarding Nodaway Valley junior Izzy Eisbach, who averages an impressive 27.33 points per game.
Vargason notes that while it may be impossible to stop Eisbach, limiting her touches completely will be key to keeping her below her average.
One of the Wolverines’ standout statistics is their free throw shooting, where they excel at 88 percent. In comparison, Atlantic boasts a solid free throw percentage of 70.4 percent.
The Trojans have totaled 160 rebounds across their first five games, with senior Paytn Harter leading the team. Harter recorded 16 rebounds in Tuesday’s victory over Clarinda, and Coach Vargason believes she is on track to reach the 1,000-rebound milestone.
The tip-off for the girls’ game is at 5:30 PM, followed by the boys’ game.
