(Audubon) Audubon County Supervisor Chair Heath Hanson says the board of supervisors is responsible for appointing volunteers to various county-level boards each year. This year, three boards have positions to be filled.
Hanson explains four openings: one five-year term on the Board of Adjustment, one five-year term on the Conservation Board, and two five-year terms on the Planning and Zoning Board. He encourages community members to volunteer for these roles.
Individuals interested in serving on any of these boards can express their interest at a board of supervisors meeting or submit a letter to the board. The board will meet with candidates before finalizing appointments.
The application deadline is December 16, which may be extended if necessary.
