(Atlantic) The Atlantic wrestling team heads to Earlham tonight for its season opener. The Trojans fell short to the Cardinals in a dual one year ago, Atlantic Head Coach Tim Duff expects another competitive dual tonight.
The Trojans opened the season short-handed and lost to the Cardinals, mainly due to about a half dozen open weight classes.
Coach Duff says that after two and a half weeks of good practice, he looks forward to seeing what this team brings to the competition tonight.
Atlantic returns nine letter winners from one year ago, and some new faces will be sprinkled into tonight’s lineup.
Coach Duff says it appears Earlham will fill 13 of the 134 weight classes against the Trojans, who are expected to have a full lineup as well. Duff says bonus points will be a key factor in a close dual like this one.
We will cover the dual on 95.7 F.M. and live video stream it on westerniowatoday.com. Pre-match coverage starts just after 6:00 p.m.
