(Des Moines) Iowa’s District 8A has a new judge. Governor Kim Reynolds appointed Dustin Hite on Friday to fill the vacancy. Hite has been serving as the mayor of New Sharon and is a partner at Heslinga Law Firm in Oskaloosa. Hite is also a graduate of Central College and got his law degree from the University of Iowa. The governor’s office explained the district covers several counties, including Appanoose, Davis, Van Buren, and Washington.
