(Washington, DC) — New home sales plunged to a two-year low in October.
Government figures show sales of new single-family houses fell to an annual rate of 610-thousand units last month. That’s a 17 percent drop from September’s revised rate and analysts say recent hurricanes in the South were a major factor.
The average sales price for a new home in October was 545-thousand-800 dollars.
