(Undated) Transportation officials are gearing up for what could be the busiest Thanksgiving travel period on record. TSA Administrator David Pekoske says airline passenger volume is already very high this year.
“This year has already been the busiest in TSA history,” said Pekoske. All ten of our top busiest days in our 23 years have occurred since the 24th of May of this year
TSA expects to screen 18-point-three million airline passengers between Tuesday, November 26 and the Monday after Thanksgiving, a six-percent increase over the same period last year. Overall, Triple-A predicts that a record 80-million people will travel at least 50 miles by car or air for the Thanksgiving holiday.
