(Atlantic, IA) — Part two in our preview of the Atlantic Boys Wrestling — Head Coach Tim Duff will have three juniors that will have an impact on the mat this year.
Donovan Hedrington was a fixture on the Trojans offensive line and he will find a spot in the line up again this year. He wrestled at 175 pounds most of last year but moved up to 190 in the district meet and lost in the wrestleback round 7-3. Duff says coming off his success in football and just missing a trip to the Well a year ago will motivate him this year
D’artagnan Hansen largely wrestled JV last year as a sophomore but Duff is counting on him to develop his skills and see more time on the varsity mat this season
And the third Junior is Braxton Hass who ran into heartbreak city last year at districts, losing 8-6 in sudden death in the district championship and then lost again in sudden death 5-3 in the wrestleback round. He missed the state tournament by a knat’s eyelash but that should motivate him this year says Duff
