(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board held an organizational meeting Wednesday and elected Laura McLean as President and Josh McLaren as Vice President. Lisa Jones was appointed as the Board Secretary and Treasurer.
The School Board will meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m.; this is a change from their current meeting time of 5:30 p.m. The meeting on the second Wednesday of the month will be held at the Atlantic High School Media Center. The meeting on the fourth Wednesday will be held at the Achievement Center.
During the regular board meeting, the School Board approved the MOU with the City of Atlantic for School Resource Officer.
The Board also approved the FY25 Superintendent Contract with Dr. Beth Johnsen. The School Board recently decided to change Dr. Johnsen’s contract from Interim Superintendent to full time Superintendent and the contract that was approved simply took out the word Interim. In addition, the Board approved the Superintendent Goals.
