(Atlantic) Preseason practice for the Atlantic girl’s wrestling team wrapped up this week. Head Coach Mike Greving, appearing on KS95’s Atlantic Sports Saturday Show on Saturday morning, stated the Middle School and High School Teams are working out together. Greving says the roster consists of eight varsity wrestlers and anywhere from 12 to 15 girls on the Middle School roster.
Coach Greving says, first and foremost, that he stresses the finesse aspect of wrestling.
The team is led by Cadence Kinzie, Leah Thomas, and State Medal winner Haley Armstrong.
Coach Greving says the squad’s balance has some wrestling experience and is learning something new each day.
The Trojans compete in a central Iowa wrestling Tournament on November 23 at Nevada. The Trojans’ first home dual is on December 10 with SWAT.
