(Griswold) The Griswold School Board approved bids for three projects as part of the Iowa Governor’s School Safety Initiative.
Up to $50,000 per school building is made available through the School Safety Improvement Fund. Superintendent Dave Henrichs said the Board approved a bid for 12 door alarms.
Another bid was approved for a Visitor Management System.
The final bid was for video access.
Separate from the School Safety projects, the school board also received bids to replace the tile floors in the hallways of the Middle School/High School. Dave Henrichs said they received two bids. However, the board declined the bids, not because they were unhappy with the bids, but because they are looking at some other larger projects and the board wanted to make sure they had appropriate finances to do them all.
