Open Secrets reports Iowa’s Third Congressional District, the Des Moines area is one of several races in the U.S. where outside PACS are outspending the candidates. Republican Zack Nunn has spent more than four-million dollars, but outside PACS have spent more than six-million, most of that on ads that oppose Nunn. Democratic challenger Lanan Baccam has spent three-million. Outside PACS have spent more than three-and-a-half million, most of that opposing Baccam.
A study by the Brennan Center and Open Secrets reports over 619-million-dollars has been spent on Meta and Google political ads this election.
