(Perry, IA) — No charges will be filed in the January school shooting at an Iowa high school.
Seventeen-year-old Dylan Butler shot and killed two people and injured six others at Perry High School before taking his own life. In a report released Thursday, Dallas County Attorney Jeannine Ritchie said Butler acted alone in planning and carrying out the shooting. She went on to note that no one “knowingly provided him with fundamental support or resources before or during the event on that day.”
Ritchie added that investigators could not determine where Butler got the gun he used in the shooting.
