(Griswold, IA) — One more game, one more time to suit up, to wear the uniform. Griswold Senior QB Bode Wyman will take the field tomorrow night one more time as the Tigers visit Exira EHK in the last game of the year. The Spartans still have remote playoff opportunities but the Tigers will be sitting out the post-season but Wyman can make history. He currently sits at 3,024 career passing yards and is about 300 yards from breaking the Tiger record
Wyman has had two good receivers to help Griswold put up amazing numbers in the passing game. Senior Connor Bowers has 29 catches for 438 yards and 8 TDs, including a 71 yarder this year and Senior Auden Wilson has 20 receptions for 465 yards and 7 TD. Wyman has worked hard with each of them to understand them better
Wyman gives credit to his offensive line — Camden Rossell at left guard, R.J. Dishong at center and Shane Taylor at right guard to give him time to throw
Wyman got his start playing flag football in Atlantic and stayed with it in junior high school and that’s when he started to improve
Wyman also plays basketball and baseball and runs track. He is unsure of his college plans but looking forward towards his final high school football game on Friday at Exira EHK.
