(Ames, IA) — Its a huge Big 12 test this week for Iowa St. as they head into Morgantown to face West Virginia, coverage on KSOM.
The Cyclones have the chance to go 6-0 for the first time since 1938 — back when they were Iowa St. College of Agricultural and Mechanical Arts. James Yeager was the Head Coach and the Cyclones were in the Big Six Conference. There are some college football pundits who say that Iowa St. could make into this year’s playoff which would set ISU off into potential dream land. Campbell isn’t willing to put his team against the other contenders just yet
The Cyclones continue to face injuries in the Linebacking corps. Harlan grad Will McLaughlin is still out; Cael Brezina has battled injuries but he is expected to play this week. Campbell says it has pushed Iowa State’s depth to the limit
Iowa St. has had two road tests this season with Iowa and Houston and they have passed those tests. No another one is in front of them
The Mountaineers will rotate two different guys at running back CJ Donaldson and Jahiem White plus Quarterback Garrett Greene can run the rock as well. Campbell says it will be a test for his defense
