(Sioux City, Iowa) Motorists using the Highway 75 northbound on-ramp from Highway 20 in Sioux City should be aware of upcoming construction work that may slow down their trip tomorrow.
The Iowa Department of Transportation needs to close the northbound on-ramp in Sioux City from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. so crews can set up a crane to move an existing light tower from the east to the west side of the ramp.
While work is taking place, portable message signs and a marked detour route will assist you in getting around the work zone.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
