(Clear Lake) One person died, and another injured in a two-vehicle crash in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at County Roads S14 and B43 intersection. Authorities say 29-year-old Adaisha Deandra Allen, of Cedar Falls, died in the crash, and 59-year-old Julie Ann Mikkelsen of Mason City, Iowa, suffered injuries.
According to the report, Adaisha Allen was driving a 2017 KIA Forte westbound on B43 and was struck in the intersection by a 2004 Ford Expedition driven by Mikkelsen traveling south on S14. The Iowa State Patrol says Adaisha Allen was pronounced dead at the scene. Clear Lake EMS transported Mikkelsen to Mercy One North Iowa.
