(Anita, IA) — After eight straight losses to start the season, the CAM volleyball team must have been thinking are we going to get a win at all this season? That was answered on Tuesday night as the Cougars swept Ar-We-Va in three straight sets, winning 25-22, 25-21, 25-17.
Co-Head Coach Ethan Wessling says the win did not come easily but Sophomore Ruthie Rich put together a great game with 7 kills, 3 blocks, 14 digs and 2 aces. Wessling says she responded to a position switch with Krista James
James also responded on the outside with 7 kills. Courtney Follmann had 14 assists and Maddie Richter led the defense with 18 digs. Wessling says he hopes to see the same effort night in and night out
CAM now gets into the thick of the Rolling Valley Conference play starting Thursday night hosting 5-3 Glidden Ralston. Wessling believes the Cougars can carry the momentum of Tuesday’s win in the next couple of weeks
