(Neola, IA) — Tri Center football has made some noise this year. After nearly upsetting AHSTW in week one , the Trojans knocked off Treynor in week two and then last Friday they flexed their muscles in a 56-6 whitewashing of West Monona.
The game belonged to Senior Carter Kunze who set a career high 275 yards on 14 carries and a career high 4 TD. He gives credit to his offensive line whom he thanks after every big play
Tri Center was 3-6 last season but Kunze says everybody was coming back and determined to turn this team into a winner. Despite a tough schedule to start, the Trojans have progressively gotten better
One big area of improvement for Tri-Center has been up front says Kunze
Kunze remembers playing football all his life and he says there are several colleges that have talked to him about playing at the next level. As far as this season, Kunze says going forward the team just needs to play together, avoid mistakes and take it one week at a time
This week, 2-1 Tri Center visits the 1-2 Westwood Rebels in a Class A, District 8 match up.
