(Guthrie Co) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors held a discussion this morning on whether to reinstate the Compensation Board or have the Supervisors take on those duties.
Compensation Boards were dissolved by the state legislature, effective July 1st, empowering the Supervisors to determine the establishment of the board. Compensation Boards annually recommend wages for elected officials.
Supervisor Maggie Armstrong said the topic of Compensation Boards was brought up at the ISAC conference a couple weeks ago.
Auditor Dani Fink gave her opinion as an elected official that has had an appointment to the Compensation in the Board in the past.
The Supervisors took no action today, the item will be put back on next week’s agenda.
In other news, the Supervisors set December 10th as the special election for Lake Panorama and Diamondhead Lake Rural Improvement Zone.
