(Iowa City, IA) — Three games in and the Iowa Hawkeyes are still searching for their identity. The Hawkeyes struggled in the first half against Illinois St. in their opener but rebounded to win 40-0. The Hawkeyes played well most of the game against Iowa St. but gave up some big plays and fell apart in the end in a 20-19 loss. Last week was inconsistent across the board until Kaleb Johnson and the running took over in the second half as the Hawks finally got away from a feisty Troy team 38-21. This week is the first Big Ten game for Iowa as the Hawkeyes head north to try and take back Floyd of Rosedale at Minnesota. Ferentz has won 8 of the last 9 games against the Gophers but its not only a rivalry game but its also the first road game for Iowa
Iowa and Minnesota are both 2-1, game time Saturday 6:30, it will be televised by NBC.
