(Atlantic, IA) — The Atlantic cross country team might be facing their toughest competition of the year tonight as the Trojans head to big meet hosted by Ballard. There are 9 ranked teams competing on the girls side — in Class 3A its #1 Pella, #3 Des Moines Christian, #7 ADM, #14 Winterset, #17 North Polk; Class 4A #7 Indianola and #12 Dallas Center Grimes; 2A #16 Roland Story and 1A #1 Madrid. On the Boys side, there are 9 ranked teams running — Class 3A #2 Pella, #8 ADM, #12 Carlisle, #15 Des Moines Christian, #13 Bondurant Farrar, #19 Ballard; Class 4A #6 Dallas Center Grimes and #14 Indianola. Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason on the field his boys and girls will face tonight
Vargason says his runners cannot be intimated by the tough competition; they have to go out and run their race and this will be a great measuring stick for his team
Nodaway Valley is also scheduled to compete in Ballard tonight.
