(West Palm Beach, Florida) An individual is in custody following a shooting incident on Sunday at Donald Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. The FBI has described it as an apparent “attempted assassination” of the former president. The incident occurred while Trump was playing golf near his Mar-a-Lago home when a Secret Service agent noticed a rifle with a scope in the bushes near the course. The Secret Service fired shots at the individual, who then fled in a black Nissan. There was uncertainty as to whether the suspect had the opportunity to fire at the agents, according to a representative from the Secret Service. A witness nearby took a photo of the car and provided information that helped in the arrest. According to three senior law enforcement officials, the individual taken into custody has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, aged 58.
