(Mount Vernon, IA) — A small plane crashed south of Highway 30 near Mount Vernon on Thursday. The pilot, 65-year-old Mark Anton , sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening and was transported to a hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
