(Griswold, IA) — It’s not the start that Head Coach Seth Lembke was looking for — after returning everybody from last year’s team, the Tigers have lost their first two games by a combined score of 107 to 14. The schedule does lighten up this week with Sidney.
So far Senior QB Bode Wyman is 17 of 42 passing for 148 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT and only has 24 yards rushing. Lembke says Wyman knows what is going wrong, he just needs to show it on the field
Before the season, Lembke had said depth would be a team strength and he would continue to rotate guys into the game at the RB and WR positions. So far 8 different guys have at least 1 carry and 8 different guys have at least 1 reception. Lembke says he will stick with the by committee approach
This week, the Tigers face the Cowboys led by RB Braedon Godfread with 212 yards rushing, averaging 5.9 yards a carry. They beat East Union 44-28 but lost to a good East Mills team 44-24. Lembke believes that his club can match up with them up front
0-2 Griswold visits 1-1 Sidney
