(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board Wednesday evening approved Jack & Jill funding for 4-year-old preschool.

In other action, the Board approved a quote from Camblin Mechanical for the HVAC replacement in the bus garage; they approved the Costa Rica trip planned for the summer of 2026; and they approved the continuation of the SWIAC Apex Consortium Agreement for 2024-2025.
In her report, Superintendent Dr. Beth Johnsen said the classes of 1969 through 1972, who have been fundraising for many years, would like to donate money to have a new electronic marquee set up outside the High School. Dr. Johnsen said she will get bids from some companies and get a design together for the Board to decide on.
During the Board report, President Kristy Pellett thanked the law enforcement agencies and everyone who worked together to quickly resolve the recent school threat.
